Your Pre-Wedding Skin Timeline: What to Book and When at Avi Aesthetics

“When should I start?” is the question we hear most from brides, grooms, and anyone with a major event on the calendar. The honest answer: earlier than you think. Here’s a realistic timeline for building your best skin before the big day  without any last-minute surprises.

The Golden Rule: Nothing New, Last-Minute

Every treatment on this list works best when it’s not your first time trying it right before walking down the aisle. Building in time for your skin to respond  and for you to see how you react  protects against surprises on the one day you can’t reschedule.

6+ Months Out

XĒRF Series (If You're Addressing Jawline, Neck, or Brow Concerns)

This is the furthest-out item on the list for a reason  XĒRF results build gradually over a series of sessions, with full results visible around the 6-month mark. Starting now means your jawline and neck definition will be fully realized well before the wedding.

3–4 Months Out

First-Time Botox

If you’re considering Botox and haven’t tried it before, this is the window to do it  far enough out that you have time to see your results, decide if you want adjustments, and never risk an unfamiliar reaction close to the date.

Start a Consistent Skincare Routine

If you haven’t already, this is also the point to lock in a medical-grade skincare routine that supports your skin’s texture and tone over the following months.

6–8 Weeks Out

Botox Touch-Up

For patients already on a Botox routine, this window allows for a touch-up session with enough time for results to fully settle (typically 10–14 days) before the event  while staying outside the riskier 2-week zone.

2–4 Weeks Out

HydraFacial Series

This is where the visible “glow” gets built. A HydraFacial every 2–3 weeks in this window delivers immediate, no-downtime results  ideal for events, since there’s no recovery time and skin looks brighter same-day.

1–2 Weeks Out

Final HydraFacial Only

Save your last HydraFacial for about a week before the event  close enough to maximize glow, far enough to avoid any temporary redness on the day itself. This is not the window for anything new.

What to Avoid Within 2 Weeks of Your Event

  • New injectables of any kind  Botox needs 10–14 days to fully settle, and bruising risk is real

  • Aggressive peels, lasers, or anything with downtime

  • Trying a new skincare product or active ingredient for the first time

The Week Of

Focus on the Fundamentals

At this point, skincare is no longer about treatments it’s about sleep, hydration, and stress management. A consistent routine and a good night’s sleep do more in the final 72 hours than any treatment could.

Building Your Personalized Timeline

Every event timeline looks a little different depending on what you’re starting with and what you’re hoping to address.  A consultation is the best way to map out exactly what to book and when for your specific date.
